Bourgogne Cuvée de Noble Souche

CLIMATS
All of the parcels combined to produce this wine are located in Daix, the Mortet family’s native town, north-west of Dijon. The vines are some 400 metres in altitude. And the parent rock is just under the surface of the soil which is brown and very chalky.

STYLE
The high altitude of the parcels used to make this blend explains why the ripening of these grapes is always slower than for the other climates of the estate. Hence the style that is always very nervous during the wine’s youth. After that, tasty fruit flavours are the dominating characteristic of this fresh and easy to drink Burgundy.
